Broken Hill District SRC News:

Successful Broken Hill/Campbelltown Exchange held in Term 2:

Mr Bob Dyson and student from both Broken Hill High and Willyama High managed to coordinate a very successful SRC conference in Week 9 of Term 2. Our district hosted twenty students form Campbelltown District for the week providing opportunities for our city counterparts to experience the lifestyle available in Broken Hill and surrounding communities whilst also engaging in meaningful educational activities relevant to the needs of adolescents in our modern society.

The activities undertaken throughout the week included:

bulletCombined high Schools Disco
bulletTwo day conference
bulletBBQ and visit to the Sculptures
bulletVisit to Silverton, Daydream Mine and sites in Broken Hill

Opportunities to make new friendships and explore issues relevant to living in today's world were at the fore of the week. Community support was strong in making the conference work, with local facilitators engaged to support our conference activities.

Billeting families are thanked for their valuable contribution toward the success of this visit. It is hoped that our return visit with students from Broken Hill District Visiting Campbelltown in 2004 will be as successful and rewarding as tis years event
